State Police cannot enforce ICE detainers after 48 hours
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Detainer can only last for up to 48 hours. If a member of the legal enforcement authority (local police) holds you on the ICE detainer, the police must release you immediately upon the expiration of the 48 hours.
